Most of the automotive steel part need the mold stamping die ,bending dies......However if we have some of the part didnot need the huge QTY such as less than 500pcs once a time ,We will suggest our customer to use the CNC machining production process instead of the stamping press production process ,such as valve cover ,engine oil pan ,transmission oil pan ,engine oil pump house ,engine water pump house
The CNC machining production process was much more popular than before ,because the CNC machine can be afford by reasonable cost current,The below was the CNC workshop for the stamping dies mold and products
The CNC products was start at the begin of the drawing ,there will be two source for the drawing :1.Drawing from the customer ,the customer give out the requirement and specification they need.2.The customer didnot have the drawing ,but they have the sample ,we take data from the sample by scanning and CMM and share all the data with our customer then we definition Key feature, special characteristics together.
Let me give out a example for the engine oil pan and transmission oil pan case,To get the data from the engine oil sump ,there was two way ,the most easy one was by 3D scanning ,we take the equipment from creamform (Portable, metrology-grade 3D scanners accuracy, resolution, reliability and fast data acquisition).
CNC for stamping die mold ,To get the core for the rear oil sump we take the fast way by the CNC machine then go ahead with the polishing process by hand so that surface of the mold didnot make too much scratch of the truck oil sump ,then we assemble the core and the frame together to go ahead with trail production of the oil pan sample .

The engine fuel pump
The previous one for the fuel pump bracket was made by the plastic and stamping bracket ,when the time come to age ,the part always broken inside the fuel tank ,
So we make the Billet fuel pump bracket to fit the OEM one
Normally the Engine Valve cover was made by the stamping steel or the fiber plastic ,
The customer want us to develop the engine cylinder head cover by the billet aluminum part
When you didnot need such a huge QTY for auto part ,it seem the CNC billet valve cover can be a good choice
Thermostat house
Normally the thermostat house on the engine was made by the plastic or the high pressure injection metal part
But when you didnot need such a huge QTY for the thermostat house ,the CNC billet Water Neck or we call thermostat house was a good choice
Auto Spare Parts Aluminium Crankshaft Pulley Billet Machined Aluminum Pulley
A lot of Pulley was need by the engine ,such as Crankshaft pulley ,water pump pulley ,alternator pulley
The OEM pulley was made by the steel of forging steel
When we need to buy the pulley without huge QTY we need to choose the CNC billet ,that was not a bad choice.

The CNC workshop machining process
CMM inspectionfor the critical dimension
Whatever is the inspection gauge or the oil pan mold we need to go though the CMM inspection before we put into production
The critical dimension need to go though the CMM test to get the tolerance for the oil pan mold we design
Every oil pan had tolerance ,the best way to keep the tolerance as much more strictly than the drawing call out ,so once the steel spring back it was still under the tolerance requirement .
For the first sample of the oil pan we also need it to go thought by CMM for all the bolts holes.then we get the inspection report to save for the future use
It was a procedure require by quality control system 16949.
After the part was maching by the CNC machine we will go ahead with the CMM test for all the dimension called out on the drawing requirement.
Inspection gauge produce by the CMM and assemble.the inspection was for inspect the products made by the stamping welding bending.when we go though the inspection we always the inspection gauge to check it
